RTGs ordered for Indonesian airport
Port crane and reach stacker manufacturer Kalmar has received an order for six E-One rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes from Indonesian container terminal operator, PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS), the company announced recently. The deliveries are expected by the end of the second quarter 2014.
Standfast USA partners with Wheco
Chicago-based company, Standfast USA, has signed a distributor agreement with Wheco to provide sales, installation and support of the Travel Restraint Access Module (TRAM) fall restraint system to the North American crane aftermarket.
Sany hires region sales manager
Construction equipment manufacturer, Sany America, has hired powered access industry veteran Mark Thurston as western region sales manager. Thurston will continue to be based in San Diego, California, with responsibility for the sales and distribution of all Sany crane products in the region.
Buffalo steel pipe factory planned
A Dubai-based startup company plans to build a USD 102M factory in Buffalo, New York, that will make steel pipes for the oil and natural gas industry, and employ an estimated 172 workers.
