OZ Lifting has unveiled plans to showcase its davit cranes and material handling solutions at two major construction events in the fourth quarter of this year.
The company will display its products at Chicago Build, to be held at McCormick Place, from 29 to 30 October, at Booth 611.
Also, it will debut at the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) Annual Convention & Trade Show at the Phoenix Convention Center, Arizona, from 9 to 11 November, in Booths 711-713.
OZ Lifting sales manager Richard Miller said: “We have been working on this base option, and the combined facility maintenance system for 18 months.
“It originally came from conversations at an HVACR (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration) event.
“We have several bases that work on rooftops, but they need to be bolted to the structure. There are many building owners that don’t want a permanently mounted base. Our parapet base can be clamped and then removed without damage.”
Chicago Build is expected to bring together construction professionals, including contractors, architects, realtors, and engineers, from the US Midwest.
The event will serve as an ideal venue for OZ Lifting to introduce its new 250lb capacity parapet davit crane base.
Compatible with the XR Series 250 davit crane, the base can be temporarily installed on rooftops without causing damage during installation or removal.
OZ Lifting said that its XR Series davit crane is designed with extended reach capabilities, featuring a maximum reach of 62″ and a hook height of 87″.
It offers four adjustable boom heights and a full 360° rotation, while maintaining its capacity to handle substantial loads in all positions.
The new parapet base complements four other existing base options: pedestal, socket, wall-mount, and wheel.
Each base option serves different installation needs, from permanent floor installations to mobile use across construction sites.
OZ Lifting will also display the Tele-Pro davit crane, which offers telescopic boom capabilities, and the Alumi-Lite davit, with aerospace-grade aluminium construction.
In addition, the company will display equipment including the Electric Series chain hoist, Builder’s Hoist, manual hoists, trolleys, and beam clamps.
Miller said: “We exhibited at Chicago Build for the first time in 2024 with great success. There are several general contractors walking the show.
“We want to let them know there is another option for using a rooftop davit that doesn’t need to be permanently mounted.”
The STAFDA Annual Convention & Trade Show will host educational seminars and a comprehensive trade show for industry leaders in manufacturing and distribution.
OZ Lifting, participating as a new member, will showcase its range of davit cranes, along with push beam trolleys, beam clamps, chain hoists, lever hoists, and manual winches.
Miller said: “Membership in this association offers us more exposure in the construction and industrial markets; the show was the major driver for us to join.
“Outdoor construction is year-round in Arizona, but we expect to meet distributors from across the country, whereas Chicago [Build] is more of a regional event.”
Recently, OZ Lifting announced plans to present its stainless-steel davit crane at the Water Environment Federation’s Technical Exhibition & Conference (WEFTEC) 2025.
Scheduled later this month at McCormick Place, Chicago, WEFTEC will see the company display its products from 29 September to 1 October.
The prototype stainless steel davit crane, crafted for high corrosion resistance with capacities of 500lb and 1,000lb, serves the specific needs of the water sector.
