Superior Crane has dispatched the first of 16 double-girder, top-running cranes as part of an ongoing project.

The crane, which spans 75ft, includes two trolley hoists, each capable of lifting up to 17.5t.

Each unit in this batch will use hoists, end trucks and controls manufactured by R&M Materials Handling.

This shipment marks the initial phase of a larger delivery schedule for the project.

R&M Materials Handling said: “What a sendoff! Huge congrats to the team on crane # 1 of 16. We’re proud to support such a strong partnership and an even stronger crew.”

Superior Crane manufactures and supplies material handling equipment across the US.

The company’s product range covers both individual components, such as hoists and parts, as well as complete crane systems for varying capacity requirements.

In addition to its manufacturing capabilities, Superior Crane offers sales support and engineering design services tailored to specific operational needs.

The company produces components in-house and supports several brands within its supply portfolio.

R&M Materials Handling is among the main suppliers for this project.

Superior Crane also provides supplementary products used in crane systems, including mainline/power bar systems, runway rails, runway structures, radio transmitters and control units.

This latest shipment forms part of an ongoing contract that will see Superior Crane deliver a total of 16 double-girder, top-running cranes equipped with specialised lifting and control equipment.

In November 2025, Superior Crane provided two bridge girder cranes to a client in the paper industry. Each girder measured 67ft and 8in in length.

The equipment was designed for use as part of a bridge crane system with a lifting capacity of 30t. The installation included SCC end trucks as well as a service platform at the front, which was fitted with an access gate.
