JSH Peinture Industrielle has completed the surface preparation and application of liquid coatings on an overhead crane and several large structural steel elements at its Jet de Sable Houle facility in Montreal, Canada.

The project involved sandblasting and industrial coating processes designed to meet technical requirements for adhesion, surface profile, and corrosion resistance.

The operation addressed the needs of heavy industry by handling both structural steel and complex industrial equipment.

The procedures involved sandblasting to prepare metal surfaces, followed by the application of liquid coatings such as epoxy, zinc-rich, and urethane systems.

Teams maintained strict film thickness control throughout to ensure consistent coverage across all treated components.

The company said: “This week, our team completed the full surface preparation and liquid coating of an overhead crane, along with multiple structural steel components.”

Jet de Sable Houle, operating in East Montreal since 1978, covers 330,000ft² and provides dedicated areas for sandblasting and liquid painting.

The site performs high-capacity jobs for clients in sectors such as industrial manufacturing, energy production, mining, marine applications, architecture, and municipal infrastructure.

JSH Peinture Industrielle operates a second facility in West Montreal specialising in powder coating applications.

This 25,000ft² plant includes two production lines capable of processing aluminium extrusions up to 13ft in length and handling more than 12,000 parts per day.

The company supports manufacturers requiring scalable volume and turnaround for both standard and oversized components.

Founded in Quebec as an integrated platform focused on metal surface treatment, JSH Peinture Industrielle provides solutions across sandblasting, liquid painting, and powder coating disciplines for a range of industrial needs.
