Superior Crane Corporation (SCC) has delivered a custom top-running, double girder crane to an undisclosed client.

The crane, categorised as Class D, is equipped with a 75ft span and a trolley capable of lifting up to 75t. It also features two hooks, each rated for 37.5t, both operated from a common drum.

The equipment includes a full front platform, Hubbell Incorporated/ABB controls, Gleason cable reels from Hubbell Incorporated, and NORD Gear Corporation drives.

SCC designs and manufactures a variety of overhead cranes, from standard models to customised solutions.

The company operates as a full-service provider, covering design, engineering, and production with a focus on overhead material handling and machining equipment.

Superior Crane also supplies individual components such as hoists and crane parts, in addition to complete crane systems, accommodating different capacity requirements.

Headquartered in the US, SCC supports a range of brands and acts as a master dealer for select companies, including R&M, Columbus McKinnon, and Magnetek.

The firm states its commitment to maintaining product quality and aims to meet its operational objectives through regular improvements.

Earlier this month, Superior Crane finished installing 16 cranes at a client’s facility, completing the main assembly stage of a significant project.

The project commenced in March, with SCC starting the erection of the cranes and their associated runways in response to a major client order.
