Oregon Steel Fabrication has taken delivery of structural steel elements to be used in the installation of a 5t overhead crane system at its workshop in Eugene, Oregon.
The new steel components will become part of the existing building framework, providing support for the crane’s runway beams and enabling its operation across the facility.
The crane system will alter the company’s material handling processes and align with its plans to expand fabrication capacity.
The company said: “Today, the structural steel arrived for the installation of our new 5-ton overhead crane system.
“These members will be integrated into our existing building structure to support the runway beams and crane operation throughout the shop.
“This investment will improve material handling and support the continued growth of our fabrication capabilities.”
