Canada-based Acculift has installed several overhead cranes at a manufacturing facility in Midland, Ontario, supporting the site’s production of prefabricated building envelope systems.
The 100,000ft² facility, situated on a 36-acre property, manufactures wall panels, modular units and other components for construction projects.
Acculift equipped the production floor with overhead cranes ranging from 2t to 8t, along with several jib cranes to assist in material handling.
The crane systems include top-running single-girder bridge cranes spanning approximately 30ft 10 inches.
These installations support panel handling, internal transport of materials, and assembly processes throughout the facility.
Early integration of lifting equipment during the facility’s design phase allowed for efficient workflow planning and safe movement of materials across all stages of manufacturing.
The approach supports operational efficiency by maintaining clear floor space and facilitating smoother production processes.
The company said: “Acculift was proud to support the project by supplying and installing multiple overhead cranes ranging from 2t–8t, along with several jib cranes to support material handling across the production floor.
“Great work by everyone involved in bringing this project together.”
Acculift has provided services to the manufacturing industry since 1985, specialising in ergonomic lifting systems and overhead crane solutions.
The company manages projects from system design through installation, including ongoing servicing, certified inspections, and equipment training.
Acculift’s service model includes post-installation support designed to address clients’ specific material handling requirements.
Earlier this month, Acculift installed a 5t single-girder overhead crane at a manufacturing facility in southern Manitoba, Canada.
The company worked with AF Construction to supply and fit the crane system in line with the site’s operational needs.
