US-based toll manufacturer Andes Coil Processors confirmed that a new crane is installed and operational at its Midwest division in Gary, Indiana.
The installation is intended to increase operational efficiency and minimise equipment downtime at the site, which serves a range of steel processing needs for various industry clients.
In a LinkedIn post, the company said: “From installation to operation — our new crane is officially up and running at Andes Coil Midwest!
“In our industry, reliability and punctuality are everything. Equipment downtime can impact production schedules, which is why we’re proud to invest in upgrades that help us serve our customers better.
“This new crane enhances our efficiency, reduces downtime, and strengthens our ability to deliver on-time, every time. It’s another step forward in our ongoing commitment to quality, service, and dependability.”
The installation announcement comes after the company revealed last week that its production activities were at full capacity, with the 72in slitter operating at maximum output.
Andes Coil Processors provides toll processing services for carbon and alloy steel, handling tasks such as embossing, slitting, cut-to-length, storage, and logistics.
The firm operates rail-served facilities in Texas and Indiana, supplying services to original equipment manufacturers, service centres, brokers, traders, and steel mills throughout the southern and midwestern area of US.
