US-based CraneWerks has dispatched six top-running double-girder bridge cranes and one top-running single-girder system to a client’s location in South Dakota.

The installation is planned to span just over two weeks once the cranes arrive, covering the placement of runway rail, electrification infrastructure, six bridge units, one complete crane system and a jib crane.

The operation involves significant coordination prior to on-site activity, ensuring that all logistics are managed before installation begins.

Team members will oversee each stage from unloading through to final assembly and commissioning of the material handling systems.

CraneWerks Strategic Solutions & Key Accounts director Matthew Fuller said: “Trucks are rolling today with six top-running double-girder bridges (TRDG) and one top-running single-girder (TRSG) system on the way to our crew in South Dakota.

“A lot of coordination goes into moves like this long before the first bolt ever gets tightened.

“Big thanks to everyone involved on the shop, logistics, and field sides for keeping things moving.

“Looking forward to getting this one completed safely and getting the customer up and running.”

CraneWerks, founded in 1997, supplies overhead cranes, industrial cranes and related products across the US.

The company designs and manufactures cranes in-house while leveraging partnerships with independent dealers to extend its reach and secure competitive pricing on components.

Over its history, CraneWerks has focused on providing small- and mid-sized businesses with access to material handling solutions through its national dealership structure.

In December last year, CraneWerks completed the installation of a 95ft, 35t box girder crane for a client.

Prior to that, the company installed a 25t overhead crane at a separate client site in Virginia.
