US-based Engineered Systems Incorporated (ESI) has installed a 5.5t bridge crane at a client’s site in Charleston, South Carolina.
The project marks another completed installation for the company’s regional team, which carried out the work to support the facility’s operational requirements.
The company said: “Proper installation is essential for safe operation and long-term performance, and our team works to ensure every system is installed correctly and tailored to each facility’s needs.”
ESI operates ten locations throughout the Southeast and supplies overhead cranes and hoist systems as well as related parts and services to clients worldwide.
The company provides design, fabrication, installation, inspections and modernisation services for a variety of lifting equipment.
The business also offers maintenance services and aims to address diverse operational needs with a wide selection of crane and hoist solutions.
ESI serves customers across different sectors by delivering equipment intended for long-term use in industrial environments.
In December last year, ESI completed the installation of a 7.5t bridge crane for a client. The crane’s structural frame featured LeJeune bolted connections, which, according to the company, increased the structure’s rigidity and transferred stress away from the concrete floor.
Prior to that in July, the company conducted a load test of 132,000lb at a client site by using certified Water Weights systems.
Technicians filled water bags on site to simulate heavy loads, enabling accurate assessment of overhead crane and hoist capabilities.
The process involved applying controlled loads under observation to verify equipment safety and reliability in operation.
The portable nature of the water bags supported transport logistics and allowed adjustment to meet specific testing needs.
