Givens Lifting Systems has installed two overhead cranes for ArcelorMittal Tubular Products North America, enhancing the facility’s material handling capabilities.
Each crane, designed for heavy lifting, can handle up to 2.5 tons and features 20 feet of clearance under the bridge with a 75-foot runway.
The cranes are operated remotely, ensuring safety and precision in lifting operations.
The newly installed cranes are set to improve operational efficiency at ArcelorMittal’s North American facility, which serves automotive, construction, and energy markets.
Givens Lifting Systems, in a LinkedIn post, said: Each crane can lift up to 2.5 tons, or 5,000 pounds. They have 20 feet of clearance under the bridge and a 75-foot runway to cover plenty of workspace.
“Operators control the hoists, trolleys, and bridges remotely, making the cranes simple and safe to use. They move at different speeds to give precise control for every task. These cranes are built to handle tough jobs with accuracy and efficiency.”
Established in 2007, ArcelorMittal Tubular Products North America is committed to sustainable steel production and has initiated a decarbonisation process to reduce CO2 intensity by 60% through a DRI/EAF route.
