US-based hoist and crane manufacturer Harrington is adding a Max-E-Lift crane at its Manheim facility in Pennsylvania, marking an expansion of its lifting operations.
The new equipment is expected to support the handling of heavy components and assemblies at the site by offering increased lifting capacity, safety, and efficiency.
The Max-E-Lift double girder crane is designed to minimise unused overhead space and increase the usable lifting height.
It is available in both top running and underhung configurations and incorporates a low-profile trolley hoist.
This configuration is designed to provide maximum headroom and hook height, addressing limitations encountered with single girder systems.
As a result, facilities may benefit from reduced building height requirements and potential cost savings in construction or future site modifications, said the company.
The company said in a LinkedIn post: “We are installing a brand-new MAX E Crane at our Manheim, PA, facility — taking our lifting capabilities, safety, and efficiency to the next level.
“This installation not only enhances how we handle heavy components and assemblies but also demonstrates our commitment to continuously improving our operations with the same high-quality equipment we provide to our customers.
“Installed by a team that knows lifting from the ground up. Proud to see Harrington innovation in action — right here in our own facility!”
The company operates as part of Kito Crosby, a global organisation involved in the engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of lifting and securement equipment.
Kito Crosby supplies a comprehensive range of products intended for demanding tasks in multiple industries worldwide.
In September, Kito Crosby added two new models with 10t and 25t lifting capacities to its Harrington TCK Air Hoist range.
