Ontario-based Liftsafe has engineered and installed a 5t overhead crane for an automotive manufacturer.

After being approached with a strict project deadline, Liftsafe conducted on-site measurements the next day and provided a quotation the same day.

The company used a standard GH kit with hoist and end trucks to complete the engineering and installation within six weeks, from purchase order to final delivery.

The new crane supports the manufacturer’s requirements for regulatory compliance, efficient material flow, precision lifting, and employee safety in its production process.

The overhead crane installation aimed to support ongoing production processes at the customer’s facility.

The company said: “Our team rapidly performed on-site measurements and provided a same-day quote. Through strong coordination and detailed planning, the 5t overhead crane was engineered and installed on time to support the customer’s automotive manufacturing process.”

The Liftsafe Group of Companies comprises several business units, including Liftsafe Engineering and Service Group, PARCS, Liftsafe Fall Protection, and R&D ERGO.

Founded as Liftsafe Inspections in 1991, the privately owned organisation has expanded its operations over more than two decades.

The company provides services covering every stage of lifting, material handling, and fall protection equipment, from design through to implementation.

The firm’s in-house engineering team manages project design and approval processes without the need for external firms, allowing for reduced turnaround times on quotations and approvals.

Last month, Liftsafe installed a GH overhead bridge crane system for a manufacturer in southwestern Ontario, fulfilling the facility’s needs for high-capacity lifting in a multi-shift production setting.
