Canada-based material handling equipment supplier Munck Cranes has installed a double girder bridge crane with smooth-running operation.
The top-running overhead crane is engineered to travel on mounted rails, supported by either free-standing or existing building columns, for effective material handling.
Munck Cranes, in a LinkedIn post, stated: “The bridge of a top-running overhead crane is designed to smoothly travel on mounted rails and can be supported by either engineered free-standing columns or existing columns of the building.”
Munck Cranes has been manufacturing overhead cranes and material handling equipment from its facility in Stoney Creek, Ontario, since 1983.
The company serves North America, South America, and the Middle East regions.
It offers a range of equipment, from economical solutions to custom-engineered systems tailored to specific applications.
The company provides overhead bridge cranes in top-running and under-running configurations, both in single and double girder designs.
Munck Cranes ensures that each solution, combined with a complete runway system, is engineered for safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Earlier this year, Munck Cranes installed a dual-bay 70-ton runway system for an expanding energy company, featuring two 35-ton overhead cranes in each bay.
The cranes were built at the company’s facility in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada.
With dual 17.5-ton trolley hoist configurations and full tandem trolley and crane control, the system facilitates the assembly and loading of custom energy systems.
Each crane is equipped with VFD drives and controls, slow-down/stop limits, anti-collision zone indicators, and capacity displays on wireless transmitters.
