OMi Cranes has concluded the factory acceptance test for a 20t capacity R&M Materials Handling kit crane intended for use in Texas, US.

The crane forms part of a project involving three cranes that will remain within the state.

Each unit permits Master/Slave operation, allowing a single operator to control two cranes at once.

The cranes feature anti-collision sensors positioned between units to prevent incidents during simultaneous operation.

OMi Cranes conducts the design, engineering, and manufacturing of overhead lifting machinery and material handling solutions internally.

The company provides both standardised and bespoke crane systems to its clients.

It ensures its equipment complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA) standards, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).

OMi Cranes holds Executive member status with the CMAA, which is linked to MHI.

The business has worked in crane manufacturing for over 50 years.

Recently, the company installed four cranes with an 80t capacity each for a construction company located in Northeast Texas. The Dallas service branch managed the installation process at the client’s site.

In addition, OMi Cranes completed a factory acceptance test for a 40t, 125ft overhead crane featuring dual OMi trolleys and lug-mounted Detroit hoists.

In November 2025, the company installed a 25t overhead crane at another client facility in Northeast Texas.

Earlier this year, OMi Cranes supplied a 36.5t capacity crane as part of an order comprising five cranes for a project based in Kentucky.
