OMi Cranes has finished the factory acceptance test of an R&M Materials Handling single-girder box girder kit crane.

The crane will be dispatched to an undisclosed client’s location in Houston.

The company said: “Another R&M Materials Handling, single girder box girder kit crane is tested and ready to go to Houston!”

OMi Cranes manufactures overhead lifting systems and other material handling solutions at its in-house facilities.

The business offers both standardised products and options tailored to client requirements.

With more than five decades of experience in the industry, OMi complies with OSHA, CMAA, and NEC standards in its manufacturing processes and is an Executive member of the Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA), which is affiliated with MHI.

Previously, the company reported continued expansion of its service operations during 2025, highlighted by the opening of a new branch in the Ohio Valley.

This facility now provides service coverage across Southern Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

In addition to broadening its regional presence, OMi Cranes introduced an online platform for parts ordering, enabling customers to access products more efficiently.

The company’s parts division processed and shipped over 1,000 orders to 30 states throughout the year, delivering equipment and components to more than 300 customers.

Last year in December, OMi Cranes installed four cranes, each with an 80t capacity, at a construction company’s site in Northeast Texas.

The company also finalised a factory acceptance test for a 40t, 125ft overhead crane fitted with dual OMi trolleys and lug-mounted Detroit hoists.

In November 2025, OMi Cranes installed a 25t overhead crane at a separate client facility in Northeast Texas.

Last week, OMi Cranes completed the factory acceptance test for a 20t capacity R&M Materials Handling kit crane. The company stated its intention to maintain growth and development into 2026.
