US-based Patriot Crane & Rigging, in collaboration with Patriot Overhead & Hoist, has completed the installation of an overhead crane at Plattsmouth High School.
The crane was donated by Metropolitan Utilities District (M.U.D.) and is intended to provide students with practical experience using industrial equipment, offering them exposure to skills relevant to trade careers.
The installation at the school formed part of an initiative to introduce students to workplace equipment commonly found in trade and manufacturing industries.
The new crane is expected to help students develop competencies that align with future employment in these sectors.
Patriot Crane & Rigging manages a range of lifting and rigging projects across multiple states, supplying equipment and technical expertise for manufacturing, construction, transportation, and industrial operations.
The company’s union workforce holds multiple safety certifications, including those from OSHA and MSHA, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Patriot Overhead & Hoist provides customised solutions for overhead cranes and related rigging systems, maintaining a focus on safety and meeting specific site requirements.
Both companies operate throughout Nebraska and neighbouring states, supporting clients from commercial, government and industrial sectors.
The collaboration at Plattsmouth High School reflects the companies’ ongoing practice of combining technical resources to deliver equipment installations and support workforce development in local communities.
In July 2025, Patriot Overhead & Hoist chose the US field service management platform crewOS to support its industrial operations.
The partnership improved efficiency in overhead crane inspections, repairs and maintenance, with the goal of maintaining safety and regulatory compliance across client industries.
