Austria-based chain manufacturer pewag has introduced the PLZW-R rapid, a new screw-in lifting point, which extends the firm’s winner pro points product range.
The device enables quick attachment and removal with a click-and-go mechanism, offering tool-free assembly and disassembly for users operating in sectors such as tool and die, machining, assembly, and general manufacturing.
Available in 0.4t, 0.5t, and 1.1t capacities, the PLZW-R rapid is compatible with the pewag winner lifting chain system.
The PLZW-R rapid incorporates features to support secure use in various applications.
The mechanism allows users to unlock the threaded plates by pressing a button, insert the lifting point into the threaded hole, release the button, and tighten the screw manually. A visible green ring on the locking indicator confirms readiness for operation.
The product is 360° rotatable for load alignment and its ring can be folded through 180°.
The screw component is constructed from stainless steel to resist corrosion, while a protective sleeve safeguards the contact surface of loads.
Each unit includes an individual serial number for traceability. They are marked with identification data including product family name, manufacturer details, batch code, CE mark, thread size, and load capacity.
The PLZW-R rapid operates within a temperature range of -4°F to 392°F and maintains performance across this spectrum.
The lifting point can be supplied with peTAG technology, which uses NFC for item identification and electronic data transfer.
pewag stated that this solution removes the need for dedicated reading devices or manual data input.
The Product Identification Plug (PIP) is also included at no extra cost and allows customers to implement internal colour-coding for operational categories or inspection intervals according to their safety policies.
The winner pro points range includes other models such as the PLZW-FIX-SP, which features a spring-loaded Stay-Up function for repetitive lifting tasks and vibration-prone environments.
In addition, the PLZW Zeta can be opened prior to installation for direct connection to lifting components such as master links or sling eyes.
