SafeLift Crane Aid has installed and commissioned a Demag DC-Com Chain Hoist at the City of Saskatoon Wastewater Treatment Plant in Canada.
Technicians began load testing immediately following installation to confirm safety and operational performance before the equipment enters regular service.
The company carries out testing protocols in line with OEM standards, which require verification and confirmation that all lifting equipment operates safely prior to handover.
The Demag DC-Com Chain Hoist, which has been installed at the municipal facility, is intended for applications with routine requirements.
This hoist can be incorporated with KBK light crane systems or attached to I-beam girders, using compatible trolleys to transport loads throughout the facility.
Standard features include two hoist speeds, a 24V contactor control, and ergonomic controls.
The hoist also meets FEM 1Am and 2m classifications and is designed for straightforward commissioning and maintenance.
SafeLift Crane Aid operations manager Bradley Sliedrecht said: “Thank you to the City of Saskatoon for trusting Demag USA / Canada for your lifting equipment and SafeLift Crane Aid for this installation and support.”
SafeLift Crane Aid focuses on sales and service of overhead cranes and hoists, primarily dealing in parts from Demag and R&M.
It offers a range of services in Canada, including OEM part supply, load testing, electrification, and control solutions.
The installation at the Saskatoon plant highlights SafeLift Crane Aid’s ongoing activities in the Canadian market, handling new projects and servicing a range of industrial lifting needs.
The commissioning and final safety verifications of the new hoist are the concluding steps before the equipment is put into full operational use at the facility.
Last week, SafeLift Crane Aid completed commissioning of two rebuilt 15t Demag P Series hoists, marking the first deployment of a refurbished 35t hoist set in Northern Manitoba, Canada.
