Simmers Crane Design & Services, a subsidiary of Flatiron Crane Operating Company, has opened a new design and service branch in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The branch will provide comprehensive technical, engineering, and product solutions to help businesses upgrade, repair, and maintain overhead crane systems.
Simmers, in a LinkedIn post, said: “This new location will offer a wide range of technical, engineering, and product solutions, providing end-to-end service for businesses looking to upgrade, repair, and maintain overhead crane systems.”
With over 65 years of industry experience, Simmers specialises in the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of cranes, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.
The company’s team of experts is dedicated to offering customised solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of various industries.
Its service offerings include crane repairs, respans and rebuilds, engineering services, field services, and OSHA-certified crane inspections.
The company also provides turnkey solutions to streamline operations and maximise productivity for industries such as construction, logistics, and manufacturing.
Simmers’ equipment offerings include automated crane systems, bridge cranes, jib cranes, crane runways, radio controls, and workstation cranes.
In addition, the company offers below-the-hook devices, electrical controls, replacement parts, and transfer cars.
Earlier this year, Simmers overhauled the main hoist at the Cabinet Gorge Dam in Northern Idaho, which increased its lifting capacity from 275 tons to 340 tons.
The project involved engineering, fabricating, and installing upgraded components, including wheels, drums, hooks, bearings, motors, gearing, and end trucks.
The company’s team also added a trolley enclosure and control house to protect the new components, ensuring the system met current standards.
