S&K Industrial has completed the relocation and reconfiguration of two 64ft runway crane systems at a client facility, combining them into a single 128ft crane system following a recent production line expansion.
The project involved integrating a Gorbel workstation crane and custom magnetic handling devices, designed by S&K Industrial, to facilitate the safe lifting of multiple rail profiles along the expanded line.
The company carried out the modifications in response to changes in the client’s manufacturing requirements, enabling more efficient movement of materials across the updated production environment.
S&K Industrial previously installed the original crane systems at the site.
Established in 1960, S&K Industrial provides engineering and integration services for industrial operations across the country.
The company offers automation, robotics, overhead lifting solutions, material flow systems, safety improvements and custom-engineered equipment.
S&K Industrial leverages its in-house engineering expertise and strategic partnerships with over 500 vendors to deliver integrated solutions for industrial facilities.
The firm supports clients seeking to optimise system performance by streamlining processes, enhancing reliability and reducing operational risks.
Last month, S&K Industrial replaced an existing lode-rail system at a manufacturing facility with a Gorbel workstation crane to improve load control and material handling.
The overhead lifting system supported consistent and reliable functioning within ongoing production operations.
According to S&K Industrial, the integration of properly engineered lifting infrastructure played a key role in maintaining operational performance and daily efficiency.
