Superior Crane Corporation (SCC) has installed a new overhead crane system for a manufacturing client in the US.
The project involved the delivery and installation of two 75t top-running, double box girder cranes, each featuring a separate 35t auxiliary hoist, as well as a 100ft 7in span.
Each crane features platforms and catwalks running the full length of the structure.
The contract also covered the provision of a 50t top-running, double box girder crane, which is similarly fitted with an independent 35t auxiliary hoist, a 100ft, 7in span, and integrated platforms and catwalks.
SCC stated that its work extended from engineering and fabrication through to the final installation of the crane system.
The company said: “Our service crew is back in action, installing another overhead crane system for a valued manufacturing customer.
“From engineering and fabrication to installation, it’s rewarding to see another custom crane system come together. Our team keeps building so our customers can keep moving.”
Based in the US, SCC designs and manufactures overhead crane systems ranging from standard products to customised solutions.
The firm operates as a full-service provider in the overhead material handling and machining equipment sector, covering design, engineering, production, and installation.
The company also supplies hoists and crane components to address a variety of capacity needs.
Superior Crane acts as a master dealer for brands, including R&M, Columbus McKinnon, and Magnetek.
The firm supports a broad client base across multiple brands and continues to deliver overhead material handling systems tailored to client requirements.
In May, SCC supplied a top-running, double-girder crane to a client. The Class D crane features a 75ft span and is designed to lift loads of up to 75t with its trolley.
