Tri-State Overhead Crane (TSOC) has dispatched two custom-designed 5t bridge cranes for delivery following completion of engineering and assembly.
The systems incorporate notched, side-mounted girders designed to increase available workspace overhead while maintaining full load capacity.
Each crane includes R&M Materials Handling low headroom hoists, Magnetek Flex EX radio controls, and a range of safety equipment such as bridge-activated strobe lights and Duct-O-Wire anti-collision sensors that support separation during dual crane operations.
The company said: “Ending the week on a high note as these custom cranes hit the road for delivery! Our team engineered this pair of 5t bridge cranes with notched, side-mounted girders to maximise overhead workspace without sacrificing capacity.”
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Tri-State Overhead Crane has operated as a family-owned business since 1959.
The company manufactures, supplies, and services cranes and hoists throughout the Midwest region.
Its operations include providing replacement parts from stock, carrying out authorised repairs, and offering dealer discounts supported by its status as a master distributor for brands including CM, Demag, Harrington, and Gorbel.
Tri-State Overhead Crane states a focus on material handling improvements aimed at assisting clients in increasing efficiency and reducing manufacturing costs.
Recently, TSOC reported that it had installed a new overhead crane system at a pellet production facility.
The crane, designed for outdoor use, featured a Class “D” configuration with a 65ft span and full variable frequency drive (VFD) controls to support precise lifting operations.
The system supported a 40t top-running, double-girder bridge crane, and the 66ft runway was mounted directly to the building’s haunches.
The installation also incorporated NEMA 4 outdoor-rated components, with electrification supplied by Detroit Hoist and Duct-O-Wire.
