Tri-State Overhead Crane (TSOC) has supplied six custom 5t under-running bridge cranes to a facility using a 740ft freestanding runway system.

The company shipped the units in three separate deliveries completed over the past several weeks.

The cranes feature Detroit electric wire rope hoists and step-cut girders to maintain low-clearance operation.

TSOC integrated anti-collision systems and Magnetek Telependant radio controls to facilitate the coordinated and safe use of all six cranes along the shared runway.

The company said: “These units are designed to operate on a massive 740-foot freestanding runway system, providing a complete lifting solution for the facility.”

Tri-State Overhead Crane, based in St. Louis, Missouri, has operated as a family-owned business since 1959 with a focus on overhead crane and hoist manufacturing, supply, and servicing. The company manufactures its cranes in-house at a 60,000ft² facility.

TSOC regularly works with clients to address material handling needs and maintains several distributor relationships to support equipment supply and authorised repairs.

Tri-State holds ‘Master Distributor’ status with major brands, including CM, Demag, Harrington, and Gorbel, enabling access to replacement parts and dealer pricing.

The company reports a long history of developing custom lifting solutions across the material handling sector.

Earlier this month, Tri-State Overhead Crane delivered a custom 1t under-running double-girder bridge crane equipped with an Electrolift twin-hook rotating hoist.

The hoist’s hooks were positioned 8ft apart and rotated continuously through 360 degrees at a speed of one rotation per minute. Operators controlled load positioning using a Magnetek Flex 8EX2 radio remote.
