US-based overhead crane manufacturer Uesco Industries is progressing with the production of four top running single girder cranes, part of a larger order totalling 28 units for an unnamed client.

The latest batch has entered the wire and test bay ahead of shipment.

So far, Uesco has supplied ten cranes along with approximately 750ft of freestanding runway, with a further 1,300ft to be delivered soon.

Uesco Industries midwest regional sales manager Chris Marras said the order is being supplied to the customer in four phases.

Marras added: “As we speak, these units are moving into our wire/test bay in preparation for shipment.

“We’re proud of how our shop has executed on this project and excited to see our installation team continue bringing it to life.”

Uesco notes that the installation took place before the building’s roof was fully built.

The company states that its overhead cranes can be produced in top running and under running configurations.

The top running models have load capacities ranging from 2t to 15t. The maximum span for these cranes is 60ft. The standard operating speeds are 50fpm, 80fpm, or 120fpm.

In addition, Uesco said it manufactures its crane and runway systems using structural steel girders that comply with Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA) design standards. The company reports a safety factor of five to one for these products.

Established in 1921 and based in Alsip, Illinois, the company branded as Uesco Cranes manufactures custom-engineered cranes and runway systems.

The company’s product range includes single and double girder top running and under running cranes, gantry cranes, and complete runway systems.

Uesco also distributes chain and wire-rope hoists, jib cranes, workstation cranes, radio controls, under-the-hook attachments, and crane accessories from various recognised industry brands through its network of distributors across the US.

Last month, the company installed a 90ft top running double girder crane in its intended location for a customer.
