US-based overhead bridge crane manufacturer Wazee Crane has installed crane runways and engineering solutions for a local glass manufacturer in the US.
The three-ton capacity overhead cranes are designed to optimise production efficiency within the facility.
Wazee Crane, in a LinkedIn post, said: “Wazee Crane recently had the opportunity to highlight our capabilities by installing crane runways and engineering for a local glass manufacturer.
“These three-ton capacity overhead cranes will help optimize their facility’s production.”
According to the company, modernisation of overhead cranes, including advanced hoists and drives, can significantly extend their lifespan and enhance productivity.
Crane modernisation offers several benefits, such as new speed and motion controls, cab-to-pendant conversions, and radio and infrared remote controls.
Improved electrification systems can lead to significant savings in operating costs.
Variable frequency drives (VFDs), applied to bridge, trolley, or hoist applications, play a key role in crane modernisation by providing smooth, ramped acceleration and deceleration.
VFDs result in cooler motor operation, enhanced equipment control, improved load spotting, softer starting and stopping of equipment, and an increase in the lifespan of brakes.
Upgraded electrification systems and components are essential for minimising potential downtime and improving overall functionality.
Wazee Crane offers modernisation services, including cab to pendant conversions and the installation of wireless remotes for seamless crane operation.
