Yuantai Crane has provided a 5t heavy duty (HD) overhead crane for installation at an undisclosed customer’s facility in the US.
The crane is outfitted with an NR wire rope hoist. It has a span of 31m and a lifting height of 6m.
The equipment features audible and visual alarms, limit protection devices, an A5 working duty classification, said the company.
According to the company, a 5t gantry overhead crane structure consists of single or double beams supported by two legs, which travel along wheels or rails.
This type of crane is commonly used in industrial environments, including factories and warehouses, for moving and lifting heavy machinery and materials.
As per information provided by Yuantai Crane on its website, the NR-type electric wire rope hoist design features a low-headroom, modular structure intended to increase hook travel.
It uses a large-diameter drum and a compact drum support, which help minimise the space above the hook that cannot be used for lifting.
Yuantai Crane was founded in February 2012 and operates its manufacturing facility as part of Henan Dongqi Machinery established in 2006. The company’s origins can be traced to Dongfeng Machinery, which began activity in 1984.
The company has several years of experience in producing cranes and in research and development activities.
Its product range includes overhead cranes, gantry cranes, electric hoists, winches, and special-purpose cranes.
The company also states that its equipment features custom designs and incorporates major components sourced from European suppliers including Siemens and Schneider Electric.
