Acculift has completed expansion of a workstation bridge crane system for a customer in Ontario, Canada, increasing material-handling capacity throughout the facility.

The project involved extending the system’s runways, adding lightweight aluminium bridges, incorporating new electric chain hoists and updating power-delivery components.

These upgrades were integrated with the customer’s pre-existing overhead crane equipment.

The company reported that, rather than replacing the established system, the approach enabled the customer to build on their original investment to meet expanded operational requirements.

The extension aimed to offer broader coverage and enhanced performance within the facility’s workflow.

The company said: “A great example of how the right upgrade can help improve productivity, flexibility, and workflow without starting from scratch.”

Founded in 1985, Acculift supplies and installs lifting equipment for the manufacturing sector, including overhead and jib cranes, lifting magnets, and chain hoists.

The company manages projects from preliminary planning through to installation and support services.

It adapts equipment selections to suit both the application and available budget, with the goal of reducing design or installation risks.

During installation, Acculift undertakes load testing and supplies on-site testing weights, allowing for immediate certification of equipment.

The company also provides customers with the necessary documentation, such as maintenance manuals, certificates of conformance, and inspection records related to its installations.

Acculift stated that in addition to delivering regulatory compliance, it communicates ongoing compliance requirements to clients during both engineering and installation stages.

Last month, Acculift delivered a 60t overhead crane to PTI Transformers’ manufacturing facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, replacing equipment that had been in use for almost 100 years.
