Liftsafe Group of Companies has completed the design, manufacturing, and load testing of a 155t lifting beam for an undisclosed client supporting the Canadian nuclear industry.
The project was carried out at the company’s facility in Cambridge, Ontario.
The lifting beam was designed to meet strict lifting requirements and comply with established quality, safety, and reliability standards.
The process included concept development, engineering, testing, fabrication, and documentation.
Liftsafe Group stated that its team worked closely with the customer to ensure the lifting beam was tailored for the intended application.
The company said: “From concept and engineering through fabrication, testing, and documentation, our team worked closely with the customer to deliver a solution tailored to their application.
“At Liftsafe, we are proud to support critical industries with engineered lifting equipment built to perform when it matters most.”
Liftsafe Group of Companies includes business units such as Liftsafe Engineering and Service Group, Liftsafe Fall Protection, PARCS, and R&D ERGO.
The organisation began operations in 1991 as Liftsafe Inspections. Since then, it has expanded services across the lifting, material handling, and fall protection equipment markets.
The group provides a comprehensive range of services throughout the life cycle of lifting and safety equipment.
These services include design, project approval, implementation, inspection, and ongoing servicing.
Liftsafe Engineering and Service Group provides inspection, engineering, service, and fabrication support for the material handling sector.
The company remains privately owned and has reported significant growth since its founding over 25 years ago.
In July 2026, Liftsafe Group of Companies finished testing and commissioning the first two overhead cranes at its new site on Eagle Street in Cambridge, Ontario.
Installed in the shipping bay, the cranes are part of preparations to bring the facility into full operation. The company said they will be used for material handling at the location.
