US-based overhead crane manufacturer Tri-State Overhead Crane (TSOC) is preparing for the delivery of four overhead cranes, each with a 5-ton capacity.
The shipment includes two pairs of cranes, with spans of 31ft and 40ft, respectively.
The cranes will be equipped with SX Wire Rope Hoists from R&M Materials Handling and Flex EX Radios from Magnetek for operational controls.
The SX Wire Rope Hoist features a large drum diameter, which facilitates near true vertical lift. Its frame design enables closer end approaches compared to other hoists.
Standard configurations for these electric wire rope hoists include normal headroom, low headroom, and double girder designs, catering to diverse operational requirements.
Magnetek’s Flex EX Radios are designed for durability and are suitable for hazardous environments, such as petrochemical operations and industrial painting.
The ergonomic and lightweight systems are available in 8 and 12-button styles, providing flexibility and reliability for various applications.
Tri-State Overhead Crane, in a LinkedIn post, said: “We had ourselves a busy ‘hump day’ yesterday, loading up these 4 cranes for delivery!
“This shipment features two pairs of 5-ton cranes: two with a 31 ft span, and two with a 40 ft span. Each crane will use an R&M Materials Handling, Inc. SX Wire Rope Hoist and Magnetek Flex EX Radio for their controls.”
TSOC has been a key player in the overhead crane industry since 1959, offering custom solutions across the material handling sector.
The company manufactures its cranes in-house at a 60,000ft2 facility in St. Louis, Missouri, utilising advanced equipment to meet customer needs efficiently.
In addition to manufacturing, TSOC is a prominent supplier of industrial crane equipment, collaborating with brands like CM, R&M, Harrington, and Gorbel.
The partnerships enable TSOC to offer competitive pricing on a range of products, including hoists, crane controls, and below-the-hook devices.
TSOC also provides comprehensive service support, repairs, inspections, maintenance, and parts support, ensuring customer equipment remains operational.
Last month, TSOC dispatched two American-manufactured overhead cranes, both equipped with wire rope hoists.
The first crane is a 25-ton double-girder bridge crane featuring a LodeKing wire rope hoist from Yale Lifting Solutions, a supplier of lifting and material handling equipment.
The second is a 5-ton, 50ft under-running bridge crane with a wire rope hoist from R&M Materials Handling.
