SafeLift Crane Aid has announced the installation and commissioning of an R&M 5t electric chain hoist at an undisclosed client’s site in Saskatoon, Canada.
The electric chain hoist, which operates on 230V, 3-phase power, has been installed and put into service by one of the company’s technicians.
The new unit, supplied by R&M Materials Handling, is intended to support demanding industrial lifting applications.
According to the manufacturer, R&M electric chain hoists are designed for reliable, precise, and durable performance, emphasising smooth operation and low maintenance.
According to SafeLift Crane Aid, these hoists are widely used across various sectors.
SafeLift Crane Aid, which operates as a division of Venter Cranes, is an authorised distributor for R&M.
The company is responsible for supplying, installing, commissioning, inspecting, load testing, servicing, and repairing R&M lifting equipment for customers throughout Western Canada.
All work is conducted in accordance with CSA B167-16 standards and the relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations, as well as original equipment manufacturer specifications, the company said.
The company’s services cover annual and periodic inspections of cranes and hoists, preventive and corrective maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, as well as brake inspections and adjustments.
SafeLift Crane Aid also undertakes safety upgrades, equipment modernisation projects, and retrofit solutions, and provides original parts and technical support for both surface and underground crane systems, including headframe cranes.
The company, based in Saskatchewan, provides overhead crane and hoist inspection, maintenance, repair, and modernisation services primarily for the mining, manufacturing, processing, and infrastructure sectors.
Last month, SafeLift Crane Aid returned a 40t overhead crane in Northern Manitoba to service following recommissioning and load testing by its engineers, as mining activity in the region increases.
