US-based JAA’s Crane Service & Equipment has commissioned a double-girder bridge crane, which is now operating on its dedicated runway.

The company reported the completion of the lifting system project this week, citing careful planning, precise structural alignment and compliance with safety procedures as key factors in delivering the installation.

The new overhead crane has been erected and commissioned, with JAA’s Crane Service saying the installation followed established protocols for high-capacity lifting systems.

JAA’s Crane Service & Equipment owner Jaime Ahumada said: “Successfully erecting and commissioning high-capacity overhead lifting systems requires meticulous planning, exact structural alignment, and strict adherence to safety protocols.”

JAA’s Crane Service provides engineering, fabrication, certified field erection, and load testing for overhead crane systems.

The company works with plant operations leads, facility directors, and general contractors, offering material handling solutions for industrial clients.

Since its formation in 2014, JAA’s Crane Service has manufactured, assembled, and maintained overhead cranes, hoists, and runway systems at various sites along the US East Coast.

JAA’s Crane Service noted its ongoing efforts to keep current with OSHA requirements, techniques, and standards.

The company claims this focus helps maintain both safety and system reliability in its projects.

Before this, JAA’s Crane Service carried out the final staging of a long-span overhead bridge girder. The girder is fitted with an integrated walkway, safety handrails and supports for the electrification track.

Last month, JAA’s Crane Service completed the installation of a 6t single-girder bridge crane at an industrial site.

The project involved specialised rigging techniques, as well as heavy forklifts and aerial lifts to position the crane on the runway superstructure. Installation work took place while the facility continued to operate normally.
