US-based Fenton Rigging & Contracting has installed a 40t overhead crane inside an undisclosed customer’s facility.
The project required specialised rigging equipment to position the crane in a confined space where traditional lifting techniques were not suitable.
The company said its team combined specialised equipment with careful planning to complete the job safely and efficiently.
Fenton Rigging & Contracting cited experience with heavy equipment and challenging site conditions as necessary for this assignment.
The company stated that its approach allowed the installation to proceed despite spatial constraints.
Fenton Rigging & Contracting said: “Our team recently put our heavy rigging equipment to work positioning this 40t overhead crane inside a customer’s facility.
“When space is tight, and traditional lifting methods aren’t the best fit, specialised equipment gives us the ability to safely and efficiently handle the job.”
Founded in 1898, Fenton Rigging & Contracting is a fourth-generation, family-owned business.
The firm offers a range of services, including machinery moving and installation, precision alignment, railroad bridge restoration and replacement, and concrete and masonry restoration using shotcrete and gunite.
The company said it has 125 years of experience in crane, rigging and contracting services, with a focus on tailoring solutions to each project’s requirements.

Last month, Fenton Rigging & Contracting expanded its equipment fleet by acquiring an 80t truck crane.
Adding the GT-800XL-2 is expected to strengthen the company’s capacity to handle a wider range of lifting projects across Cincinnati and the Tri-State area.
The firm said the new crane provides greater lifting capacity, improved mobility and faster mobilisation, enabling its team to meet a wider range of project needs more efficiently and safely.
