Konecranes has completed the commissioning of a 30t overhead crane for an undisclosed client.

The project involved working closely with the client to assess operational requirements and incorporate priorities into the final equipment design.

The crane is equipped with several safety features, including sway control, hook centring, safe zones, and target positioning.

According to the company, these features are intended to enhance the operational safety and efficiency of the lifting process.

Commissioning included consultation with the customer to understand specific process needs and identify suitable solutions.

Konecranes states that the client received recommendations based on these requirements, with several options offered before finalising the design.

Konecranes industrial crane consultant Mike Drust said: “Our team just completed the commissioning on this 30t crane. I worked with the customer to understand their processes and what was most important for them.

“I was able to offer several solutions. This crane included some of our safe features – Sway control, hook centring, safe zones & target positioning.”
