US-headquartered Level Crane Systems has addressed a lifting requirement for an aerospace company by incorporating Gorbel Easy Arm intelligent lifting technology into its material handling operations.

The integration enables operators to manage vital components efficiently while eliminating physical strain and contributing to operational throughput on the manufacturing floor.

Gorbel’s Easy Arm, which functions as a self-contained lifting device, merges servo-controlled technology with a fully rotating jib crane.

This system allows users to lift, position and transport heavy objects with rapid movement and direct handling.

The servo-drive technology, protected by patents, partners with an industrial-grade actuator to ensure accurate responses during lifting procedures.

The jib arm’s 360-degree rotation grants access to areas that are otherwise difficult to reach, including tight spaces amid machinery or beneath structural barriers.

The system features an operating mode that lets workers guide suspended loads by hand, allowing sensitive or heavy items to be positioned with high precision.

The technology increases the speed of load movement, with the ability to exceed 180ft/min, which is substantially faster than traditional lifting mechanisms.

Level Crane Systems, based in Southern California, has operated since 2001 and provides crane solutions throughout the US.

The company’s engineers design and install custom overhead bridge cranes tailored to each project’s requirements, taking into account factors such as load capacity, available space, and integration with existing workflows.

In March, Level Crane Systems installed a crane system for a manufacturer relocating to a larger site. The project included new overhead crane equipment, integration of the manufacturer’s existing cranes, and upgrades to modernise controls and system components.
