YorkHoist has completed the installation of three new 5t bridge cranes for an undisclosed client, involving its teams from York, Allentown, and Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, US.
The work required a partnership across these three branches.
Together, the teams removed two existing ACCO-Wright bridges and replaced them with new YorkHoist bridge cranes as part of the client’s facility upgrade.
The newly installed cranes are fitted with R&M Materials Handling Spacemaster SXR wire rope hoists and Panther radio controls provided by Tele Radio Group.
The installations feature remote connectivity through the R&M OLI app, enabling operators to monitor equipment status and collect operational data to assist with predictive maintenance routines.
The company describes the Spacemaster SXR wire rope hoist as offering a redesigned feature set, and says the hoist maintains space-saving headroom in line with industry expectations.

Founded in 1975 by Gerald Kurtz and Charles May, YorkHoist remains operated by subsequent generations of the original families.
The company states that it specialises in overhead crane and material-handling solutions, and maintains a focus on safety standards.
YorkHoist has also indicated a continued commitment to supporting both client relationships and the local community.
In April 2026, YorkHoist installed a custom crane system for a client, with lifting capacities of 1t and 2t. The company collaborated with TC/American to provide the equipment, which was designed with ergonomic features to improve handling operations.
