S&K Industrial has completed the installation of four Gorbel workstation bridge cranes at an undisclosed client’s assembly line.
The project began when the customer required operators to work on both sides of the assembly line, prompting modifications to the existing crane configuration.
S&K Industrial reconfigured the runway layout and installed new bridge cranes to restore full material-handling coverage across the operation.
The installation was carried out during the second shift to ensure that production could continue without interruption.
S&K said that the project enabled the client to implement the changes without any loss of production time.
Gorbel workstation bridge cranes are modular overhead systems designed for precise and ergonomic material handling within a specified work area.
The cranes work by moving a bridge along parallel runways, while equipment such as hoists or lifting manipulators travels along the bridge to lift and transport materials.
These systems are intended to cover rectangular work zones and accommodate a range of lifting needs.
