US-based HOJ Innovations has confirmed the manufacture of an overhead crane measuring over 126ft with a 40t lifting capacity, intended for use by an unnamed client in a Utah warehouse.

The crane is scheduled for delivery in February with project completion planned for early 2026.

The overhead crane will be a top-riding, double-girder bridge crane and will provide coverage across the building with a clear span.

The length of the crane is greater than the space available in HOJ Innovations’ current manufacturing facility, so the crane will be built in four sections.

Each girder will be shipped in two parts, resulting in four truckloads for delivery, said the company.

At the customer’s facility, the sections will be joined together before installation.

HOJ Innovations CEO Tim Hoj said: “A crane of this size and capacity required us to expand our abilities and surpass the design parameters we’ve used in the past to meet operational requirements.

“With a vision to expand our capacity and to meet the continually evolving needs of the warehouse industry, we took the opportunity to modify our tools and processes to make this project possible. This crane project establishes a new standard for us and our customers.”

HOJ Innovations was established in 1964 in Salt Lake City by Henning Hoj as HOJ Engineering and Sales.

The company supplies a range of cranes and hoists, including single- and double-girder bridge cranes, gantry cranes, underhung cranes, monorail systems, and jib cranes.

The business now employs over 200 staff members across offices in Utah and Idaho, and has handled over 100,000 projects, and installations both in the US and internationally to date.
