Saskatchewan-based Venter Cranes has provided an update on one of its overhead crane projects for an unnamed client in Canada.

The company is preparing to assemble and install two 30t, 50ft long overhead crane bridges at a site in Martensville.

The units are currently being readied for deployment to support operational requirements at the client’s facility.

Venter Cranes offers inspection, certification, maintenance and parts supply services for overhead cranes.

The company holds authorisation to provide service and parts for DEMAG and R&M Material Handling equipment within the region.

Its service portfolio covers installation, load testing, and maintenance across a number of major crane brands such as Kone, Condra, Shaw-Box, Street, and GH.

Earlier this year, the company secured two major projects. The company will provide two double girder top running cranes, each with a 30t capacity and runway systems, to a facility in Saskatoon.

It was also contracted to supply a 10t underslung crane and runway system to a mining operation for underground lifting uses.

In October, Venter Cranes completed a scheduled quarterly inspection and testing of a Demag overhead crane for a client in Manitoba.

The company technicians carried out the maintenance as part of routine service to ensure the equipment met established safety and operational requirements. This activity formed part of ongoing measures to maintain compliance for client assets.

In August, Venter Cranes carried out a 20t load test in a remote location using WaterWeights equipment.

The method enabled the company to perform the test with a total equipment weight of 450kg, as it only required the addition of water on site.
