US-based Tri-State Overhead Crane (TSOC) said that it has installed a new overhead crane system at a pellet production facility.
The crane, intended for outdoor use, includes a Class “D” configuration with a 65-foot span and full variable frequency drive (VFD) controls to facilitate precise lifting operations.
The system accommodates a 40-ton top running, double girder bridge crane, while the runway measures 66 feet and is mounted directly to the building’s haunches. The installation also includes NEMA 4 outdoor-rated components with electrification provided by Detroit Hoist and Duct-O-Wire.
Tri-State Overhead Crane has also sent out two single girder under running bridge cranes, each with a 2-ton capacity and a 30-foot span, for installation at a new site in October 2025. Both units are equipped with Harrington NER2M Electric Chain Hoists and Magnetek Flex Radio Remotes.
In a LinkedIn post, the company wrote: “Our TSOC installation crew recently completed this overhead crane system for a pellet production facility. Designed for outdoor environments, this Class “D” crane features a 65-ft span and full VFD control for surgical precision on every lift.”
