Acculift has completed the installation of a 5t single girder overhead crane at a manufacturing facility in southern Manitoba, Canada.
Working alongside AF Construction, the company supplied and installed the crane system according to the operational requirements of the site.
The project involved planning the crane into the building design at an early stage, which enabled integration with the facility’s structure and workflow.
According to Acculift, incorporating overhead lifting systems during the initial design phase can help manufacturers make more efficient use of floor space, improve material handling, and support operational safety from the outset.
The company said: “Designing an application-specific crane early in the building design process helps ensure the system fits the structure, supports production workflow, and delivers the lifting performance the operation needs.”
Acculift has operated in the manufacturing equipment sector since 1985, offering services that include system design, equipment installation, certified inspections and training.
The company provides a range of lifting solutions such as overhead cranes, workstation cranes, chain hoists and fall safety systems.
Support extends from project inception through to ongoing maintenance and after-sales service.
Acculift collaborates with clients to assess their facilities and determine suitable material handling solutions for specific production needs.
The company’s offerings are designed to address safety considerations and support overall productivity within manufacturing environments.
In September 2025, Acculift completed the installation of two double-girder overhead crane systems at a manufacturing facility in Brandon, Manitoba.
The project included integrating 30t cranes fitted with electric wire rope hoists, each spanning 50ft across the site.
The cranes carried a Class E duty rating, suitable for operation in demanding industrial conditions and designed for extended use.
