WF Steel and Crane, lifting equipment manufacturer Smak Design’s local dealer in Ontario, has completed the installation and commissioning of a 4,400lb (nearly 2,000kg) workstation crane at an undisclosed client site in Canada.
The system includes motorised bridges and trolleys to support precise material movement.
According to the companies involved, the crane is expected to support increased production efficiency by reducing the reliance on manual lifting and improving operator safety and workflow.
Smak Design sales manager Alex Maletta said in a LinkedIn post: “Another successful project delivered.”
“The finished installation looks exceptional in Arctic White, and we’re proud to see another quality system come together through great collaboration.
“Kudos to the WF Steel and Crane team for a job well done!”
WF Steel & Crane, established in 1987, carries out structural steel fabrication projects and develops custom crane solutions for industrial and commercial uses.
Recently, the WF Group purchased an additional property in Nisku. The group said that the site covers 7.5 acres and the building includes 31,000ft2 for shop use and 6,000ft2 for offices.
This expansion adds more bays, each equipped with two cranes that have a lifting capacity of 20t tons.
The group was quoted as saying: “These updates create a smoother production flow due to less handling and increased labour power. These updates allow us to double the crane production under the WF brand.”
Smak Design is based in Quebec City and provides industrial handling systems. Its product list includes light cranes, jib cranes, overhead conveyors, vacuum systems, manipulators and lifters, oversized vacuum lifter and other handling equipment.
Both companies specialise in solutions designed to address industry needs related to handling safety and productivity.
