US-based material handling equipment manufacturer Superior Crane has supplied two bridge girder cranes for an undisclosed client.
The girders, measuring 67ft and 8-inch each, are being delivered for use in the paper industry.
The systems form part of a bridge crane with a 30t lifting capacity. Additional features of the bridge crane include SCC end trucks.
The crane also features a service platform at the front with an access gate, safety lights outlining the floor area, and Magnetek control systems.
Two weeks ago, the company provided a status update on an ongoing project nearing completion.
Previously, the project was at the beginning stage of fabrication and components had not yet been assembled.
The company reported that the current scope involves supplying two Class D top-running double girder platform cranes, each with a 10t capacity. The cranes include operator cabs, hydraulic power units, unloader arms, and pick devices.
Superior Crane manufactures and supplies material handling equipment in the US, offering products ranging from individual crane parts to complete systems for various capacities.
The company also provides sales support and engineering design services tailored to specific operational requirements.
In October 2024, the company completed one of two 15t, Class D, 6ft span under running single girder cranes designed for use in an underground cavern.
The crane equipped with SCC end trucks, Magnetek control systems, Nord drives, and a Yale hoist, was ready for operational service at the client’s location.
In the same month that year, the company dispatched one of two 7.5t, 57ft span, Class C cranes to a customer site. The company’s service team oversaw installation as part of a project involving ten cranes at the location.
