Progressive Electrical Services (PES) installed four new wire ropes on two 15t double-drum hoists supporting a Jumbotron.

The PES team carried out the installation process, completing the work as part of a scheduled preventative maintenance programme.

Crews worked in shifts around the clock to finish the installation and maintenance tasks, following a coordinated timetable.

The company said: “The crane and hoist crew had a busy week, working around-the-clock shifts to conduct preventative maintenance and install four new wire ropes on two 15t double-drum hoists that support a Jumbotron, executing a well-coordinated plan.”

PES, based in Lee, New Hampshire, employs 22 staff and operates a fleet of ten service vehicles.

The company serves clients throughout southern Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, using its facility on Route 4, which offers direct links to regional transport routes.

Founded in February 2003, Progressive Electrical Services began as a sole proprietorship and now operates out of a 3,500ft² premises.

After starting with electrical construction and service projects, the company expanded in 2009 to include crane and hoist installation, maintenance, and inspection services.

Staff continue to provide services to a range of sectors across the region from their Lee headquarters.

In March, PES completed the installation of a new overhead hoist system for a manufacturing client, carrying out both the electrical and structural components of the project.

The team provided a motorised trolley system, added updated festoon cabling, installed a new hoist, and integrated a radio package to allow for remote operation.
